Zeitreise [2017]
The Kongressbau in Nürnberg represents the Nazi architectonic ideals: the enormous size, the staging effect and the way to be a boulder on the road of History. Although the building is significantly unfinished the act of walking underneath its arcade made of granite (coming from the quarries they were spot for the construction of some extermination camps) gives the measure of an outsize project on one hand and shows how complicated is to manage heritage like that on the other. “Zeitreise” is a photographic triptych on the times and my perception about them, a symbolic and emotional transition to an image of past, present, future.
